Interactive Sessions

Microstock Expo 2013 is full of interactivity!

Here's some more information about each of the interactive sessions we have planned for the event.

Masterclasses

There are four separate and simultaneous masterclasses:

• The Depositphotos Photo Masterclass with Yuri Arcurs
• The Pond5 Video Masterclass with Simon Krzic
• The Wacom Illustration Masterclass
• The Agency Masterclass

Masterclasses are 3-hour, instructor-led classes, covering advanced level topics.

The photo & video sessions have full production shoots, including models, lights, sets, MUA, and stylist.

Attendees who purchased participation tickets, now sold out, can shoot in the masterclasses and interact with the instructor. Masterclass participants will also leave with their own released stock media content. All masterclasses are free to watch for all registered conference attendees.

There's no participation tickets for the Wacom Illustration Masterclass – all attendees are welcome to bring their laptops to follow along and interact with the instructor.

Participants in the video masterclass will have the option to shoot with a RED Digital Cinema camera during the class.

The Agency Masterclass features an array of topic experts presenting on various issues and opportunities in the microstock agency landscape today.

Portfolio Reviews

The open portfolio review was one of the most popular sessions at the previous event.

So this year we're expanding it into three separate sessions, one for each of photos, videos and illustrations.

Here's how it works

• Attendees submit files in advance
• Judges select the files they think are most interesting to discuss from anonymous thumbnails
• Judges votes are combined and the files are placed in order of which ones were selected most
• At the conference the judges sit on the stage while photos are displayed on the big screen for everybody to see
• Nobody is told who submitted the file
• Judges provide verbal feedback on each file
• The audience is free to make comments and ask questions
• The judges may ask the owner of a file to identify themselves if they’re particularly impressed with a file or want to ask a question. It’s up to you whether you identify yourself or remain anonymous.
